 At an elevation of 755 feet, Cedar Ridge Preserve  (formerly the Dallas Nature Center) is a slice of the hill country.Cedar Ridge Preserve is a not-for-profit natural habitat of 633 acres

With guided and self-guided tours available along the ten miles of wooded trails, outdoor enthusiasts can wander up to the Escarpment Nature Preserve, the highest point in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.




 fxt2ofUj4tc  Hikes can last anywhere from 15 minutes to three hours, depending upon selected trail. A snack bar, gift shop and amphitheater are also scattered on the preserve grounds.




 h02j4os2fa8 Along the way you can view ponds, wildflowers and a butterfly garden before arriving at vistas and an observation tower. The trails vary in difficulty. All are natural terrain paved with rock, mulch or dirt.

One of the state's top public championship courses, Tangle Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jeff Brauer of GolfScapes in Arlington, Texas. It was recently ranked as the "12th best golf course" in the state of Texas by Golf Digest.

Lynn Creek Marina

A marina and restaurant located on the north side of the lake, just off Lake Ridge Parkway near the Lynn Creek Park entrance. The Lynn Creek Marina has more than 500 wet slips for fishing, pleasure and sail boats.

The marina does a brisk business in boat rentals and has an indoor-outdoor fishing area where non-boaters can fish for $5 for 12 hours.

 On the northwest shore of Joe Pool Lake, picturesque Lynn Creek Park is off Lake Ridge Parkway just north of the Lynn Creek Marina. The park covers about 784 acres and is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily March through October.

Lynn Creek Park offers restrooms, showers, two boat ramps with eight lanes, a swimming beach, a concession stand, almost 100 picnic sites, group picnic pavilions, sand volleyball courts and an amphitheater.
